Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF)
The GCCF is the governing body of the Cat Fancy in the United Kingdom and is the feline equivalent of the Kennel Club.

Advice and Welfare

Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB)
The FAB is a wealth of feline related information, and publishes a comprehensive list of information sheets that are a must for any serious cat owner, shower or breeder.

Naturewatch
Naturewatch provide information on products that have, and haven't been developed using animal testing methods. They provide a very useful "Compassionate Shopping Guide" which lists the vast majority of household goods, and classifies them as tested or not tested on animals. Useful for anyone who would like to choose "animal friendly" products, and wants all the information to hand in one convenient booklet.

Uncaged Campaigns
Uncaged campaigns are an anti-vivsection organistion who liased closely with the Sunday Express in the production of the article highlighting Iams' involvement in animal testing resulting in euthanasia.

British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV)
The BUAV are an anti-vivsection organistion, who provide a great deal of useful information in the form of fact sheets, for those interested in this issue.

Cats Protection
Cats Protection is a long-established cat welfare charity. In fact it is the oldest and largest cat charity in the UK. They have voluntary Branches in most areas of the UK, from the Shetland Isles in the North to Truro in the far South West.

UK Cats
A discussion list for breeders and exhibitors of pedigree cats, and exhibitors of non-pedigree cats, based in the United Kingdom. A good general group for those interested in showing, and wanting to exchange information with like minded people.

UK Kittens
A list where breeders of pedigree cats can announce any new arrivals, and announce when kittens are going to be available to caring owners.

Feline Health
A moderated list for cat breeders and owners to discuss health issues concerning our feline friends. Discussions can get very technical, but this is a useful site if you have any health related questions to which to need quick answers. If you have medical or technical background in feline health you are especially welcome to join. Membership is predominantly North American, but there is some European presence.
